EA buys Codemasters, producer of DiRT and F1 series for $ 1.2 billion

It can be said that the EA deal was actually a big surprise as Codemasters was expected to be sold to Take-Two just days ago. EA quickly intervened here and managed to get ahead of Take-Two with a higher offer. The popular producer of Dirt, F1 and GRID series will now continue its activities within EA.
